The AV-426 is a next-generation, self-contained solar light specifically designed to survive the harshest environments with minimal ongoing maintenance.
It is a robust, completely self-contained LED solar aviation light designed for a range of aviation applications including permanent approach, runway edge, threshold, helipad aviation lighting. This fully functioning light can be controlled from the tower with no costly cabling or trenching required when fitted with RF.
The AV-426 includes the latest solar technology including active MPPT (maximum power point tracking – maximising the power extracted from the solar panels) and enhanced optics for improved performance and efficiency with IR available. As standard, each chassis comes with an external ON/OFF switch and an external charging port for AC or DC supplementary battery charging based on variant of product. When connected as part of a power line communication (PLC) system, the AV-426 fixtures are able to receive signals to power ON/OFF, switch between visible and IR mode as well as change intensity via the PLC interface (control tablet).
The solar chassis is available in two chassis heights; Compact or Standard, both of which come with upgraded solar panels and a maximum power point tracker (MPPT) to optimize solar input into the 12Ah (Chassis type C0, C1, C3, and C5 only), 13.5 Ah (Chassis Type C2 and C4 only) or 24Ah (Chassis Type C1 only) battery for longer run time.
