Bergen Airport, Norway orders an additional solar powered taxiway lighting system for temporary operations
After the successful installation of the AV70 taxiway lighting system by Danish company INTERTEC A/S, an additional solar taxiway lighting system has been ordered for temporary operations within the airfield due to airport construction works.
Located in the low-light region of Northern Europe, Bergen Airport required a solar-powered taxiway lighting system that could operate effectively in Norway's cold and dark environment. Avlite's AV70 taxiway lighting system was chosen, demonstrating the incredible versatility of the AV70.
A self-contained solar LED aviation light, the AV70 is designed to suit a range of aviation applications, including taxiway, obstruction, barricade, threshold and airstrip lighting. The AV70 offers enormous benefits over traditional battery and hard-wired aviation lights including low-maintenance and no underground wiring.
The nature of Avlite products makes them perfect for use in temporary situations when mains powered lights are unable to operate. Avlite has the products and expertise to create a suitable solar-powered lighting system that is convenient, portable and able to be rapidly deployed.
