Avlite Systems is a Success at FIDAE Chile!
During March Avlite exhibited at FIDAE in Chile, three weeks after an earthquake and tsunami shook Concepcion, south of Santiago. In spite of this recent devastation in the country, the attendance at FIDAE was outstanding show of support for the country with all 6 Pavillions and 4 Chalets filled with Aviation exhibitors from all over the world. The event was attended by almost 115,000 people and 32 exhibiting companies from 13 countries.
Sharon Bedson and Allister Wilmott had the opportunity to meet and spend time with Patricio Gaete (a retired 3 star General) and John Teare from Greco Ltd Avlite’s Distributor from Chile. Other Avlite distributors in attendance included Mauricio Padron from Conso in Venezuela and Daniel Randell VP of GECI in Spain. Here Allister Wilmott had the opportunity to put his recent Spanish classes to the test and it was a great forum to meet our Distributors face to face.
There was high traffic at the booth and high interest in Avlite’s solar airfield solutions from not only visitors at FIDAE but also exhibitors as well. With many areas of South America suffering constant power blackouts Avlite is a perfect alternative to mains powered airfield lighting. Sharon Bedson visited the Aircraft Display Park where the US Air Force had their C17 on display and the feedback from the pilot who has flown into bases where Avlite lights are installed only said 3 words, “We love them!”
