New Design Increases User Functionality of the AV420

AV420 Solar Aviation Light

2010 sees the introduction of a number of enhancements to the AV420 providing customers with the latest industry advancements.

New Solar Chassis Construction
Specifically designed for the harshest of environments, the AV420 features a 7-stage, powder-coated aluminium top, base and internal chassis in high visibility colours for daytime recognition.

The rubber, extruded corners provide additional impact resistance. The top casting is now manufactured with an integrated handle that assists with handling of the unit.

Four premium-grade solar modules are integrated into the solar chassis, and mounted to collect sunlight at all angles. In the unlikely event of damage this new construction method has the benefit of allowing the user to change a solar panel in less than 30 minutes.

The rugged design of this self-contained light ensures up to 12 years of reliable service with minimal ongoing maintenance.

Additional Features Now as Standard
The AV420 now comes with an external ON/OFF switch and external charging port as standard. The external ON/OFF switch means, when in position, the light can be turned on with the flick of a switch. The external charging port can be used to charge the battery while the light is stored for extended periods, ensuring the battery is fully charged when the light is ready for use.

AV420-RF Model
Avlite Systems’ AV420-RF enables users to directly control the operation of singular or groups of airfield lights via a 2.4GHz handheld transceiver or PC interface.

All AV420-RF aviation lights come fitted with an External Momentary Button as standard. The Momentary Button has been incorporated into the AV420 for emergency use or, in case the radio controller is lost or damaged. This button gives the ability to turn the light on and step through the three different intensity levels.
