US Air Force Orders Avlite Solar Taxiway Lighting
Avlite Systems has recently received an additional order to supply solar powered taxiway airfield lighting to the US Air Force.
The AV70 solar powered taxiway lights were chosen for their replaceable battery system, 3 year warranty, proven design and robust performance.
The AV70 has been tried and tested over the last 12 years with hundreds of thousands of units operating on all major continents in all types of environments.
Having operated at Middle East airfields for multiple years and chosen as the OEM supplier for the ARMY MOTS tactical solar airfield lighting system, the Air Force required a system that was capable of meeting and exceeding current operating conditions which included the need to reuse the same fixture time and time again.
The AV70 series solar airfield taxiway lighting from Avlite Systems provides multiple safety improvements to contingency style and permanent airfields including radio control, infrared and visible LED NVG compatible lighting, replaceable battery system, 3 year warranty and multiple color and output configurations.
