United Arab Emirates: Crane Obstruction Lighting Success for AVC300
Installed on cranes in Dubai to warn local aircraft of the obstruction, Avlite Systems' AVC300 has surpassed customer expectations - resulting in numerous repeat orders.
The AVC300 Type A Aviation Obstruction Light is a completely self-contained solar-powered LED light boasting a large internal waterproof battery compartment, LED flasher unit, and 4 premium-grade solar modules mounted to collect sunlight at all angles. The AVC300 is moulded from UV stabilised virgin polyethylene, providing enormous impact and weather resistance.
To ensure the consistency of light divergence from different angles of the crane, each unit is installed with a specifically-designed and engineered stainless-steel mounting bracket. The swinging arm of the bracket is hinged on titanium bearings - enabling the light to automatically adjust with the movement of the crane to ensure the omni-directional light output remains in line with the horizontal plane.
The AVC300 obstruction light has been independently tested in accordance with the requirements of ICAO Annex 14 Volume 1, 'Aerodrome Design & Operations', Forth Edition July 2004, paragraph 5.3.17.7.
