Once installed, operation of the SL15 1 mile light requires no operator intervention. There is a choice of 16 factory-set flash characters, and the unit is supplied ready for immediate operation. During daylight hours the solar module will charge the battery, and the light will automatically begin operation at dusk once the ambient light threshold drops sufficiently. Coupled with LED technology, and a highly efficient DC/DC converter, the lunit may provide over 20 days of continuous operation without sunlight.
